American Benefits Group (ABG) is a leading national third party administrator of pre-tax consumer reimbursement benefits. As a way to keep customers and clients up to date, especially during our current healthcare changes, ABG asked Stevens 470 to design and build a blog so they could post about the latest industry news, information, changing laws and regulations. They have currently posted articles on COBRA, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Health Care Reform.
Yesterday was our monthly Coffee Hour at Stevens470. We discussed branding and reviewed "12 Rules of a Great Brand". It was a pleasure to have a full house and the opportunity to share information and ideas.
Your logo, graphic elements and media messages are used to represent your company's brand. They train people to recognize your company or product in every marketing and sales channel. The more channels your business is in, the more important it is that your brand image is strong. What is it that your company is offering to the consumer and why should they choose you over the competition? Those benefits need to be clear and consistent.
Your brand is a promise to your customer. A promise that you will deliver the same high quality product or service every time that customer does business with you, in every marketing channel. We all know that is hard enough to do, but add in the changing needs and desires of today's consumer and your work is never done. Keep in mind that your brand evolves over time and is influenced by more than your internal company directives.
Stevens 470 worked with Peerless to design new retail packaging for the release of these award-winning handcuffs, as well as update the existing packaging to match the new standard. The goal was to create a simple, bold impression that would stand out on the shelf and stress American manufacturing.
We hosted our monthly Coffee Hour on Thursday this week due to our local snow delays. Our discussion on Business Blogging brought in a full house of professionals. We covered both the marketing and the technical aspects of blogging for your business. Our guests asked great questions and shared their ideas and experiences with blogging.
This past Valentine’s weekend, the team at Stevens 470 attended a printmaking workshop at Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence. Our workshop was titled “Monotypes with Mixed Media” and was conducted by Lynn Peterfreund. For a group of designers that spend most of their days working on computers it was inspiring to explore design and express ourselves through a more hands on art experience.
